The first of our four projects for this Bucks County family was a full-scale exterior renovation of their expansive home in New Hope, in which we replaced over 150 windows and all of their siding. It was important to the client to maintain the beautiful original trim work around these windows on the interior, so we thought outside the box and got a bit creative and achieved exactly that! It was a success 150 times! They now have beautiful, brand-new wood Pella windows everywhere.
In addition to that, their aging wood siding, which for years had been torn apart by woodpeckers, was replaced with James Hardie plank boards, and all of the rotting exterior woodwork was replaced with cellular PVC trim and moldings.
In the course of this project, we also added a large second-story wrap-around deck off their primary suite and exercise room, with a bluestone patio beneath in an ashlar pattern, and a spiral staircase connecting the two. The customer plans to install a barrel sauna on their new deck and a hot tub on the patio beneath to dramatically upgrade their wellness routine and quality of life. In all, we maintained the "Bucks County Traditional" look and feel of the home and upgraded to a finish that will last generations. This was an amazing transformation, and the best part: no more woodpeckers!
