We redesigned the layout by removing and structurally supporting the wall between the dining room and kitchen, creating a seamless flow between the two spaces. To further improve the home’s feel and function, we raised the previously dropped family room floor to be flush with the rest of the first level, instantly making the space feel more connected and open.
By widening the rear doorway and installing a sliding door, natural light now pours into the new kitchen, brightening the entire first floor. We also added custom storage along the dining room’s back wall, providing balance, organization, and a thoughtful connection between rooms. Finally, new flooring throughout the first floor tied everything together for a clean, cohesive finish.
