Local Subcontractor Highlight: Barner Murphy, Inc. - Professional Plumbing Services

When we come into your home, we bring our highly-skilled team of professionals that we’ve built over time. Building a trustworthy team you can count on includes vetting our crew of dedicated employees and reliable, local vendors and subcontractors.

An important part of our team for many projects is a plumbing expert.

We’re proud to have such a great relationship with the guys over at Barner Murphy, Inc. Since 1996, Steve Barner and Barry Murphy have been putting their Master Plumber expertise to work “to offer a unique, personable approach to our plumbing service by providing our clients with a reliable, professional, trustworthy experience that will make them want to call us back.”

We sat down with Barner Murphy co-founder, Barry Murphy, and asked him a few questions on behalf of homeowners in our area to help give you an idea of what to expect from a professional plumber for your home improvement project.

What are all of the pieces of my project do you manage?

When we are working on your project, we come in once your project development phase has started to review the plans with Bob to make sure we are all on the same page. Depending on the project we may start as soon as the demo is completed, and sometimes we are the last people you see at the end of your project.

We come in the beginning to make alterations as needed to your plumbing and gas lines to accommodate your new floor plan. Then we come back at the end once the flooring, drywall and tile are up to install your appliances and fixtures. For example, your new sink, faucet, dishwasher, refrigerator and ice maker. We’re the ones that make sure everything is connected and running.

We also do our own inspections for all gas and water lines we run in your project to make sure everything is watertight and there are no leaks prior to your township inspection for permits.

What should I look for in a reliable and honest plumbing company?

When you are working with a plumber, whether through a contractor or not, make sure they take the time to really get to know you, your family and your needs.

What separates us, I feel, is that we are so relationship oriented. For us, it isn’t about “get in, get out, get the money, see you later.” We are always looking for ways to stay reasonably priced and to get to know and stay connected with our clients to build trustworthy relationships.

This should start with your first impression. You should have high expectations when a professional plumbing service, or any subcontractor comes to your home. The first time a contractor or subcontractor shows up to your house is very important. That sets the tone for the rest of your project. We always make sure our trucks are clean and our team is friendly.

Do you only work with contractors for home improvement projects?

Put simply, no. There are two parts of our company: 1) working with contractors where plumbing is a piece of a larger project like a full kitchen renovation or master bathroom addition, and 2) working directly with homeowners for their projects.

Note: Barner Murphy works with contractors for home remodels and renovations, new construction and some light commercial projects like smaller office buildings and schools.

Our experience and training help us provide the best service for:

  • Hot water heater installation
  • Running new plumbing in additions
  • Kitchen and bathroom appliances and fixtures installation and replacements
  • Sump pumps
  • Assorted household plumbing repairs

We stay local to the Bucks County and Montgomery County areas and sometimes over into New Jersey depending on the project.

From our team:

We love working with Barner Murphy. We always know that whatever plan we lay out and execute together during a construction project will be done right for our homeowners. Because they also do work with homeowners independently and make great relationships during our projects we are confident knowing that a month, a year, or five years down the road, our clients will always have someone to call when they have a plumbing need.

You don’t have to take our word for it, check out their amazing reviews on their website.
